There is an ever-growing body of evidence that explains the human-equine relationship, and how our time together improves physical, mental and emotional outcomes. Fellowship with like-minded folks, with shared life experiences coming together for mutual benefit can enhance these positive outcomes. Boots is much more than a collection of men and women who use equines to serve others. We also benefit from our time with equines while serving others. 

This form of self renewal inspires us to focus on the mission. Our service is a labor of love, borne from deep respect and affection for the equine and those people we serve. We offer our services free of charge. Most of those we serve come to us as referrals, but we consider everyone on a case by case basis. No one is simply turned away. If we feel our services aren’t a good fit, we simply find another, more beneficial program for them. 

We are an all-volunteer group of men and women, current and former LEO’s and equine professionals. We know from our personal experiences that those who make a career out of serving others under life and death circumstances will face challenges in adjusting to every day life. In extreme cases, this can lead to failed inter-personal relationships, self medicating with alcohol or other intoxicants, reckless behavior, poor sleeping patterns and attempts to self harm. Our goal is to improve such outcomes with each person we serve. 

Your donations will be used to purchase and maintain safety equipment (helmets, AED, first aid kits), saddles and tack, feed, farrier services, vet services, infrastructure development and maintenance (riding arena, trails, etc), liability insurance, web site hosting, legal services and other necessary expenses.
